As wedding photographers we love it when couples are so in sync with each other that they can communicate almost without speaking, a look or a touch is enough to say what doesn't need to be said. Breda & James are like that, the perfectly in-tune Bride and Groom, they know exactly what they want and can communicate their ideas clearly, without dithering, so that you know a lot of thought and effort has gone into making those decisions.
We first photographed them as a couple in May, taking a couple of hours around the grounds of Castle Leslie so we could all get used to each other, see how we worked together and also to nail down a few locations - there are so many to choose from within the 1,000 acre estate.
When it came to Breda and James's Wedding Day itself we were so glad we'd had the opportunity to view the estate with them. As is always the case the time between the end of the ceremony and the call to meal can fly past, and with a certain location we thought might be used taken up by a string quartet we carried on to a fall back location with no time lost. It's all in the planning!
Because we work as a team of two wedding photographers we can cover more shots, and more types of shots, much more quickly than a lone photographer having to faff about like a busy bee getting from one viewpoint to the next. We work at a nice relaxed pace, keep everything light and breezy so everyone can enjoy the session and get back to their party in great form. As you can see the results of our approach to wedding photography speaks for itself.
