Niamh and William got married quite close to where we live, between Swords and Ashbourne, while their reception was being held in the fabulous Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny. It’s about an hour and a half by car, but they had bigger and far more stylish plans - we just had to keep up. It’s always a pleasure to work with couples who are relaxed, we just let them do their own thing and document what happens. Niamh and William were such a genuine and welcoming couple, it made everything we do so much easier. There’s only a small part of every wedding day when we have a chance to set up portraits, every other part of the day is about quietly going about our business, capturing what’s happening so couples will have a document of the best memories from their wedding. It’s a pretty special gig to be allowed in to people’s lives to do that.
