It’s been a while since we’ve been wedding photographers at the Dublin Registry Office so it was good to go back and see some familiar faces. Ceremonies there typically only last 10-15 minutes, so it’s perfect for couples looking to get married in Ireland without all the added extras. Almost all the weddings we’ve photographed there tend to be for couples who only need us for a couple of hours: to document the wedding ceremony; spend 30-40 minutes taking some wedding portraits with them; take some family group photos. It’s all very straight-forward, and it’s always good to mix in a few half-day weddings with the longer day assignments to break things up. After Louise & Conor’s wedding we all drove around to the Dylan Hotel in Dublin, not far from the registry office. We gave everyone some time to themselves to chat and have a drink, before we made our way across the road to a small park where we spent some time with them both. It had just rained, but it was another of those days where we caught a break in the weather and the sun spilled out Autumn sunshine and perfect light.
