We thoroughly enjoyed photographing Victoria and Alan's wedding in Marino and Sutton. We began at the church in Marino, arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony was due to begin, photographing candids of guests arriving and taking some portraits of the Groom, his family, and his friends.
Alan was quietly welcoming and had a terrific rapport with his Groomsmen which always makes things easy, then it's just a case of capturing the way people interact with each other.
Victoria, her parents, and the Bridesmaids arrived and that was when everything really began to sparkle. Victoria just lights up the whole day, she's an absolute joy to work with and her Bridesmaids obviously love her to bits too.
Michelle was the perfect Bride: she had planned everything down to the last detail with nothing left to chance, yet remained as bubbly, beautiful and good humoured as you could wish a Bride to be. Andy was very cool to work with too: supremely laid back, comfortable in his own skin and a natural in front of the lens - not to mention that he had the most fabulous Mustang GT to take him to the ceremony.
These are the things that can make our job easier, having two people who are so generous with their time and so much in love with each other that everything just falls naturally into place.
Both the ceremony and the reception were held at Castleknock Hotel in Dublin, a regular award winner and finalist.
